I believe that everyone has to find their own way of getting through each day but I have found that writing and talking to people who understand what you are going through is the best help I've found. Even if they know nothing about any of my conditions, I have found that I have truly wonderful friends across the world who listen and support me. It is amazing what a few kind words and knowing that you have a hand to hold through the hard times can do.
My brilliant friend Simon Fitchett has been particularly helpful - see his show reel - he can do so much to help and support. He has been instrumental in helping me keep a positive mental attitude.

2013: Creative writing: Task 1) The Key
This key is undoubtedly the most important key that I own. It is old, mysterious, worn around the edges and has been the master of many secrets over the years. Now that this key is mine, I want to tell it all of my most vivid, ghastly and upsetting memories so that I can move forward.
The box is just a box and is where the key has chosen to hide. For it is the key that holds the secrets, not the box.
Once all of my problems, thoughts and memories have been shared with the key, it will go and find another safe place to conceal itself, ready for the next person to discover it.
I can now move on, my mind is at ease, shoulders loose, muscles relaxed and I walk briskly on down the path turning away from the key with my head held high. I'm ready for whatever tomorrow may bring.
